About Hatada Ranch

Founded in 1987, Hatada Ranch began when the first super exotic stepped onto 1,200 acres of open Texas land. Doug & Sheila Dutschmann, along with the ranch owners, set out to build something meaningful — a place to raise their children, live close to the land, and create a legacy worth passing on.

Three Generations Strong

Today, three generations of Dutschmanns live and work on the now 2,000+ acre ranch. Catlin and Courtlin, alongside their wives and growing families, continue the legacy — guided by Doug’s values and a shared love for the land and its animals.
