Our Legacy

About Hatada Ranch

Hatada Ranch began in 1987 when the first super exotic stepped onto what was then a 1,200-acre ranch. From the very beginning, Doug and Sheila Dutschmann, alongside the ranch owners, set out to build more than just a ranch. They envisioned a place where their children could grow up surrounded by wildlife, hard work, and strong family values - a legacy that could be passed down for generations. Their two sons, Catlin and Courtlin, were raised working and hunting on the ranch. Under Doug’s leadership, they developed a deep respect for animals and a commitment to their well-being. They learned the importance of going the extra mile and building a solid foundation to ensure long-term success.

Three Generations Strong

Today, three generations of Dutschmanns call Hatada Ranch home. Catlin and his wife Hailey are raising their three daughters on the ranch, while Courtlin and his wife Courtney are raising their three sons. Together, they continue to work side by side with Doug, carrying forward the values the ranch was built on. Now spanning over 2,000 acres, Hatada Ranch remains rooted in family, stewardship, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for generations to come.
